「人は美しいものだと感じていたい」

これは私にとって永遠のテーマである。

幼少期から

1人で泣きながら絵を描くことが唯一の癒しと救いであり

今ではそれは活動の原点となっている。

自分を含めた「人」という欲深く矛盾した生き物に絶望しながらも

同時にどこか光がさすような

希望や暖かさも感じずにはいられなかった。

人の持つ弱さ、儚さ、愚かさ、そして、強さ、優しさ、尊さなど

すべてを包容し「美しいもの」 として

作品にそのエネルギーを込めている。

世界各地で活動してきた中で強く感じたことは

「アートは言葉の壁を超えてひとつの言語になる」 ということだ。

私は、描かれた作品が本当に完成するのは

誰かのもとに絵が届いた時だと思っている。

つまり、 描き手と見た人のコミュニケーションとは

描く側が込めた想いやエネルギーが絵を通して

見た人に何かしらの感情や気づきを生むことだと考える。

これこそが

言葉の壁を超えたコミュニケーションなのではないだろうか。

“I want to keep feeling humanity as something beautiful.”

This is my theme through out my whole life.

Since my early childhood,

crying alone and drawing was my only comfort and savior

that eventually became the fundamental reason as a painter.

Since then,

I have been feeling depressed against “human”,

an avarice and conflicted being,

but at the same time

I felt the warmth and hope that lightens one another.

By tolerating the weakness, foolishness, fleeting emotions,

and the strength, kindness, preciousness as “beautiful”,

I transform this to an energy in my work.

What I thought throughout my works and projects around the world,

is that “Art becomes one language that transcends language barriers”.
I believe that art work can only be ‘completed’

when the work is delivered to the viewer.

Communication within the relationship of the artist and the viewer,

is where the viewer receives the energy from the painter,

which then brings some kind of emotion or realization

in the viewer’s heart.

This is a communication that transcends language barriers.

I hope these works will bring some emotions or realization

within you and be able to experience

the communication beyond language.
